Computational science is a novel scientific application area focused on integrating computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, and other sciences to develop advanced computational techniques and simulations to solve complex engineering problems in various industries. In addition, the rapid development and advances of emerging technologies, such as the Internet of Things, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence, have fostered innovation in various industries around the world. By integrating and applying computational science and relevant technologies, the various industries are thus making its way toward the goal of industrial intelligence. In view of this, this special issue focuses on computational science techniques applied in science, engineering, industry.
