Manuscript Topics
Cancer is a group of diseases that can occur in many different organs. It involves unregulated cell growth and loss of homeostasis. Cancer is a global health problem affecting people of all ages and ethnicities. Current treatment modalities include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, angiogenesis inhibitors, hormone therapy, etc. Researchers are continuously exploring new treatment options aiming at cancer remission. Mathematical models play pivotal roles in understanding the complex dynamical interactions between cancer cells and a multitude of other cell types, macromolecules and chemicals. Understanding the mechanism of action of cancer drugs will help in developing effective therapeutic regimens. Mathematical modeling can contribute important insights that cannot be obtained from clinical or experimental trials alone, which is critical for developing better drug administration strategies.

This special issue aims to provide a forum for exchanging ideas and tools among scientists in cancer research. We invite original and review papers dedicated to the applications of mathematical models in cancers and their treatments. Potential contributions include but are not limited to

• Derivations of new mathematical and computational models in cancer/cancer therapies
• Qualitative analysis of the models arising from cancer/cancer therapies
• Numerical investigations of mathematical models with clinical or experimental data
• Review articles or survey of mathematical tools in the study of cancer/cancer therapies.
