  • The journal retracts the article (https://doi.org/10.3934/mbe.2023088) [1] in agreement with the Editor-in-Chief.

    Following publication, concerns were raised regarding the reliability of this document as its bibliography includes five questioned references. In accordance with AIMS's policies, the integrity and rigor of the peer-review process of this article were investigated and confirmed to fall beneath the high standards expected by Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering.

    Based on the investigation's findings, including but not limited to, discrepancies in the description of the research reported, or inappropriate or irrelevant references, we therefore no longer have confidence in the results and conclusions of this article. In consultation with the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial office has concluded that this article should be retracted.
