  • I am pleased to see that the vision of making our AIMS Electronics and Electrical Engineering journal an indexed high quality publication, of significant interdisciplinary flavor, started to show signs of success during 2018. We noticed that during this first full year we had 31 submissions, 10 published papers, and 12 rejections. This represents a 45% acceptance/rejection ratio during this first full year of existence, illustrating the strict and efficient review process that we put in place. Many new journals have to tolerate higher acceptance/rejection ratio during the first year in order to attract submissions. The number of downloads during 2018 is impressive, illustrating the interest that our journal generated in the scientific and engineering communities. For the next year I hope we can increase the number of high quality submissions to this journal, while maintaining a rigorous review process. Furthermore, I hope that the indexing process will continue.

AIMS Electronics and Electrical Engineering has 54 members, and 2 of which joined in 2018.

In its second year, our journal developed smoothly with a moderate increase in the number of submissions and publications. We have received more than 30 submissions and published 10 papers in 2018.

In 2018, our journal was indexed in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). DOAJ is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals.

Increase influence by soliciting and advertising high quality articles and special issues (topics).

We seek to be indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in 2019.
