Manuscript Topics


Remote sensing and UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicles) or drones have emerged as a transformative technology with applications spanning various domains. Drones acquire a substantial amount of data through diverse sensors, including multispectral, hyperspectral, and LiDAR. Intelligent computing methodologies play a crucial role in the analysis of such extensive datasets. Recently, these technologies have permeated conventional domains like surveying and monitoring and extended their influence on diverse sectors that necessitate data-centric decision-making, including transportation, agriculture, forestry, and environmental applications.


Given the profound advancements in this domain, this special issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research on the intersection of remote sensing, UAVs, and intelligent computing techniques such as machine learning and/or deep Learning, and explore new possibilities, challenges, and solutions.


Topics of Interest:


We invite researchers to contribute original research articles, review papers, and case studies on, but not limited to, the following topics:

Deep learning for natural hazard/disaster(e.g., wildfire, flood, storm, earthquake, transport and others) detection and monitoring using Drone/UAV images
