Fractional calculus has been widely utilized in engineering, science, and technology owing to its ability to accurately represent a variety of natural phenomena. The dynamics of complex physical systems are intricately linked to fractional calculus due to its non-local nature. In contrast to classical models, fractional operators can systematically represent a wide range of mathematical and physical models through fractional order differential equations. This results in more accurate and extensive conclusions for the fractional mathematical model. Furthermore, fractional calculus provides several techniques for resolving integro-differential equations, nonlinear models, and differential, integral, and integral-differential equations in mathematical physics. In recent years, there has been a significant interest in fractional calculus on the complex plane. Exploring the connections between fractional calculus and other mathematical and physical disciplines can pave the way for novel research directions and applications.
The objective of this special issue is to provide a platform for distinguished academicians and researchers across diverse engineering disciplines, such as applied mathematics and physics, to showcase their innovative research. The issue will feature original research contributions focusing on recent advancements in fractional calculus, covering a wide range of topics including, but not limited to:
• Fractional differential equations
• Fractional calculus in physical systems
• Fractional dynamical system
• Numerical/Analytical methods
• Meshless methods
• Modeling and simulation
• Non-locality in epidemic models
