Manuscript Topics
The field of computer simulation in biology has advanced in parallel with the rapid development of computational power and the continuous improvement of simulation algorithms. Advantage of using computer simulation in biophysical research is tremendous. When applied to biophysical research, computational approaches enable the analysis and precise control of physical parameters such as size, displacement, force, pressure, stress, rigidity, electric potential, temperature, time, velocity, and acceleration. Using computer simulations, biological systems containing a broad range of targets, from small molecules (lipid, protein, and DNA) to organs, can be studied using diverse computational tools that include molecular dynamics and mesoscopic adaptive resolution scheme analysis. Exploration of the data-rich environment of biology using computer simulations may lead to better understanding of biological systems and improved prediction of their behavior.
In this context, we would like to invite authors to submit original research and review articles on computer simulation in biology. Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before their acceptance for publication. AIMS Biophysics charges 300 USD Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted paper after peer review. AIMS Biophysics waive the charges for these article types: Review, Editorial, Letter, Conference Reports, Commentary, Corrections, and Erratum.
