As our living cities evolve into complex ecosystems, the integration of smart building technologies and community-centric approaches plays a pivotal role in ensuring sustainable urban development. Recognizing the significance of this interdisciplinary field, I am very pleased to announce the organization of a Special Issue in Urban Development and Sustainability focused on “Smart Building and Community.” This Special Issue aims to bring together innovative research and practical insights that explore the synergies between smart building technologies and community dynamics for creating resilient and sustainable urban environments. It offers a unique opportunity for researchers and practitioners to contribute to the growing body of knowledge at the intersection of smart building technologies and community-driven urban development. We look forward to receiving your insightful contributions and fostering meaningful discussions on the sustainable future of our cities.
