Manuscript Topics
Innovation (including both technological and institutional innovation) is widely regarded as the primary sources of economic growth. In recent years, the macro innovation performance as well the effect of innovation on economic and productivity growth have been attracting special attention from government officials and academic researchers. Whereas, there is still little convergence on the measurement of innovation capacity, especially the institutional innovation capacity. Additionally, since innovation also plays a leading role in saving energy and reducing pollutant emissions, it is supposed to be an important driven force of green development.
This Special Issue aims to discuss the measurement of innovation capacity, innovation efficiency and the impact of innovation on economic performance from a macro perspective. We welcome submissions that address issues related to (but not limited) to the following topics:
• Evaluation of innovation capacity
• Measurement of institutional innovation
• Evaluation of innovation efficiency
• Impact of innovation on economic and productivity growth
• Impact of innovation on green development
