Manuscript Topics

Various modeling studies have been conducted and published in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but research studies that address the changing transmission dynamics in the aftermath of lifting stringent countermeasures against COVID-19 have been limited. Moreover, studies that confront with statistical problems of COVID-19 transmission, natural history, severity and countermeasures via statistical modelling approaches have yet to be systematically reported. This special issue tackles both of these problems. Modelling studies that directly handle COVID-19 and focus on indirect impact of COVID-19 pandemic on others are both welcomed. In particular, we encourage any statistical modelling studies that offer novel insights into previously unknown facts of COVID-19 or significant progress in statistical modelling of infection dynamics.
