Manuscript Topics

As an important branch of modern control theory, the theory of nonlinear dynamical systems has drawn considerable attention in the scientific and engineering community. Nonlinear dynamical systems are known to have many complex properties such as counterintuition, unpredictability or even chaos. The modelling and control of nonlinear dynamical systems have wide relevance in many fields, including physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, medicine, finance, etc. Despite much investigation have been carried out to study the properties of nonlinear dynamical systems so far, the modelling and control of nonlinear dynamical systems still remain many challenging open issues. With the rapid development of mathematical techniques and computational tools, the interest in quantitative and qualitative analysis of nonlinear dynamical systems has grown substantially. Moreover, the corresponding applications in science and engineering have promoted the theoretical analysis of nonlinear dynamics across a range of systems.

The purpose of this special issue is to provide a platform for researchers to disseminate original research in the fields of modelling and control of nonlinear dynamical systems and their applications in science and engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to report their recent progresses with the scientific community, in general and particularly working in the fields related to the title of the special issue. It is known that you are the expert in this field, you are invited to contribute an original work that addresses any aspect of theory and applications of nonlinear dynamical systems. The list of possible topics includes, but is not limited to:

• Nonlinear dynamical systems
• Complex dynamics
• Discontinuous control of nonlinear systems
• Nonlinear impulsive systems
• Nonlinear hybrid systems
• Finite-time stability of nonlinear systems
• Time-delay systems
• Mathematical modelling and control
• Chaotic systems
• Applications of nonlinear dynamical systems in science and engineering
