Manuscript Topics
The field of mathematical problems related to Neuroscience has been expanding fast in recent years due to the availability of models, methods, and realistic or simulated data for large areas of human and animal brains at every scale. This special issue aims to highlight researches and advances in a subset of multidisciplinary areas related to mathematical models in the field of neuroscience and brain informatics, to encourage new exploratory and experimental contributions, and to present high-quality research articles and reviews in such areas of interest.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the:
• Computational neuroscience
• Statistical neuroscience
• Neural networks
• Mathematical modelling of neural systems
• Theoretical neuroscience
• Cognitive neuroscience
• Graph theory: applications in brain networks
• Statistical signal processing for neuroscience
• Brain connectivity
• Mathematical methods for neuroimaging analysis
• Parallel computing in brain simulation
• Reconstruction and simulation of brain circuit at every scale
• Machine learning and artificial intelligence for brain inspired computing
