Manuscript Topics
Mathematical modeling has a long history of generating useful insights in oncology, and continues to rapidly expand. It is increasingly being recognized that models can help elucidate the different mechanisms critical to various aspects of cancer biology, from oncogenesis to cancer growth and response to treatment.
The aim of this special issue is to collect timely papers focusing on mathematical models that can yield practical insight into vital aspects of cancer biology. Although experimental validation is not necessary, we especially encourage the submission of manuscripts wherein model analysis and simulations are interpreted in clinically or experimentally relevant terms.
