Manuscript Topics

In vivo tumors exhibit a broad range of heterogeneity, both within and across individuals. e.g., variability in space, geno- and pheno-types, and environment. This special issue aims to cover a broad range of fundamental questions about how, why, and if heterogeneity is important for cancer progression. Contributions will rely on understanding heterogeneity through the development or application of novel mathematical and statistical modeling techniques, as well as new imaging tools. We also encourage contributions that connect tumor heterogeneity to variability in treatment outcomes, including multi-treatment and adaptive treatment scenarios.
