Manuscript Topics
Infectious diseases are still a serious threat to human health and social development, despite of the development in their prevention and control. One typical example is that Ebola virus disease propagated in West Africa and infected more than 10,000 people in 2014. Consequently, we need to investigate mechanism of epidemic, transmission mode and development trend of the infectious disease, and further provide effective control measures for disease spread. Among the methods in investigations of infectious diseases, mathematical models can accurately depict the internal mechanism of the development of diseases and are a useful tool for revealing the transmission rules of diseases.
This special issue aims to focus on the development of mathematical modelling and data analysis for infectious diseases. We encourage the authors to submit the manuscripts on the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases.
Potential topics include but are not limited to:
• Transmission dynamics of infectious diseases with spatial effects
• Transmission dynamics of infectious diseases based on complex networks
• Control measures for emerging infectious diseases
• Nonlinear dynamic analysis for infectious disease models
• Data-driven approaches in infectious diseases
