The aim of this Special Issue “Mathematical models in fluid mechanics: Methods, equations, nonlinear waves and processes” is to present some recent developments in thе area of mathematical models used in fluid mechanics. The focuses of the issue are

1. Mathematical methods for solution of nonlinear differential equations
2. Applications of these methods for obtaining solutions of differential equations which are used to model nonlinear waves and processes in fluid mechanics
3. Methods for obtaining numerical solutions of nonlinear differential equations
4. Applications of the methods for obtaining numerical solutions of nonlinear differential equations to problems connected to the fluid mechanics
5. Mathematical and numerical methods for solution of other kinds of nonlinear model equations used in the models of waves and other processes in fluid mechanics.
6. Models of flows in networks
7. Application of network models in fluid mechanics
