In recent decades, nonlinear systems have played an important role in addressing many challenging problems in science and engineering. They have been applied in many fields such as engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, and finance, etc.

The main focuses of nonlinear systems include the existence-uniqueness, boundedness, error estimation, stability and control as well as numerical approximation problems. They can be classified into a variety of distinct classes including ordinary, partial, stochastic, switching systems, Markov switching systems, semi-Markov switching systems, linear, nonlinear, delay and neutral, integer-order, fractional-order, functional, and integro-differential, among others. The analytical solutions of these problems are very challenging or impossible to obtain due to different conditions and possibilities in the nonlinear systems.

From this point of view, this special issue will concentrate on studying the existence-uniqueness, boundedness, error estimation, stability and control as well as numerical approximation problems for solving nonlinear systems in a broader sense and emphasizing some real applications.
