Manuscript Topics
The design and implementation of numerical methods has been one of the most relevant fields in recent decades within the area of Applied Mathematics. The main reason for such success comes from the need to solve complicated problems that arise in the modeling of many interesting phenomena in physics, engineering, economics, biology, medicine or social sciences among other fields of knowledge; we can mention heat transfer, pollution, chemical reactions, acoustic waves, structure vibrations, nuclear physics, optics, semiconductors and economic models, as typical examples of a long list of models where numerical techniques have been applied.
This Special Issue aims at collecting original and quality contributions in the most recent developments of numerical methods. In particular, we welcome submissions on:
• Modeling and simulation of physical phenomena.
• Design and analysis of numerical methods.
• Implementation of numerical methods; reduction of the computational cost.
Keywords:
• Numerical Methods and Computational Mathematics
• Computer Algebra and Applications
• Initial and Boundary Value Problems
• Ordinary Differential Equations and their applications
• Partial Differential Equations and their applications
• Finite Difference and Finite Element methods
• Dynamical Systems
