Manuscript Topics

Computational mechanics is the discipline concerned with the use of computational methods to study phenomena governed by the principles of mechanics. By treating mechanics, mathematics, and computer science as three pillars, computational mechanics plays a vital role for modelling and simulation of many engineering systems. With the increasing demands for accuracy and efficiency, the impact caused by the unavoidable aleatory and epistemic uncertainties in computational activities needs refined analysis and management.

Aiming to provide a platform to promote up-to-date research and share promising ideas in related realms, this Special Issue focuses on the most recent advancements in computational mechanics and uncertainty analysis, including but not limited to theoretical modeling, computatioanl methods, experimental verification, multidisciplinary analysis, optimization design, uncertianty quantification/propagation, reliability assessment, health monitoring, fault diagnosis, inverse mechanical analysis, etc. Both original research papers and review articles are welcomed.
