Manuscript Topics

Computer Algebra can be seen as the field of Mathematics that deals with creating and analyzing algorithms whose input is a mathematical expression, and whose output is either a mathematical expression, or a list of properties satisfied by the input. Since geometric objects are usually written in terms of equations, there is a natural alliance between Computer Algebra and (algorithmic) Geometry, since the properties of the objects can, frequently, be deduced by manipulating the defining equations. This may require to previously solve non-trivial theoretical problems for translating the derivation of these properties into an algorithm. In this special issue we welcome contributions from Computer Algebra and especially questions where the alliance where Computer Algebra and Geometry is made explicit. This alliance appears also in different applied fields like Computer Aided Geometric Design, Robotics or Mathematical Education, to quote a few. Contributions related to this type of applications in various applied fields are also welcome.
