Manuscript Topics
In this special issue we are interested in applied mathematics and computation from all fields of science, such as biology, chemistry, physics. We are especially interested in mathematical modeling of problems from cancer treatment, i.e., mathematical models that consider the interaction of a cancer tumor with the immune system and the treatment itself, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This includes cancer of any type that can be mathematically modeled such as bladder cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, liver cancer, brain cancer, cervical cancer and more.
The proposed methods to investigate these models will mainly be innovative numerical methods, semi-analytic methods, analytical methods and asymptotical methods.
Another important issue in cancer research is the stability of equilibrium points of the variables of the mathematical model.
Any paper that is submitted to the special issue needs to include practical examples.
Another important topic of the current special issue is machine learning, and its applications in working with big data related to the cancer tumors mentioned above.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of topics for this special issue:
• Mathematical modeling of cancer treatment
• Immunotherapy and chemotherapy treatment.
• Asymptotic analysis
• Numerical methods, numerical computation
• Research on fractional differential equations, bifurcation, and numerical methods.
• Ordinary differential equations
• Partial differential equations.
• Machine learning, big data
