Manuscript Topics
Engineering optimization is of great significance that focuses on advanced computational optimization methods and their application to engineering design, manufacturing, simulation, and operational process. Engineering optimization is a highly interdisciplinary field that has become increasingly important for seeking novel designs with superior mechanical performances and improving the efficiency of engineering products.
This special issue aims to cover all major engineering disciplines, including (but not limited to) aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, civil engineering, biomedical engineering, manufacturing engineering, environmental & architectural, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering. Innovations in mathematical foundation of algorithms, machine learning and data-driven techniques, metamaterial design, and additive manufacturing that are closely related to engineering optimization are particularly encouraged in this special issue. Papers that demonstrate practical application in real-life products and develop optimization software serving in engineering community are equally welcome.
