Dynamical systems described by discontinuous differential equations are of importance and do frequently arise in practice. This class of discontinuous dynamical systems can be applied to many different science and engineering fields such as neural networks, mechanics, biology, electrical engineering, automatic control, economics, etc. Due to the emergence of discontinuities, dynamical systems possess very rich and complex dynamical behaviors such as sliding mode orbit, periodic oscillation, limit cycles, chaos, bifurcation, and so on. Because of many practical needs in control engineering, it is very necessary to implement stabilization and synchronization control of discontinuous dynamic systems by designing suitable controllers. The aim of this Special Issue is to highlight papers that show dynamics, control and applications of discontinuous differential systems. This has recently become an increasingly popular subject.
