Manuscript Topics

The purpose of this Special Issue is to provide a collection of original research and review papers, reflecting the rich interplay between the theory of mechanical systems and modern differential geometry.

Papers should fit in topics related to (but not limited to) the following:
• Riemannian, pseudo-Riemannian and sub-Riemannian geometry
• Contact geometry
• Geometric control theory
• Lie groups and Lie algebras
• Variational problems
• Hamiltonian and Poisson systems
