Manuscript Topics
Accumulating research demonstrates that both acute and chronic exercise can improve a variety of cognitive functions. These include, but are not limited to, executive function, memory, and creativity. In this Special Issue, we welcome papers (reviews or original research studies) that further our understanding of the effects of acute or chronic exercise on cognition. If the article is focused on cognition as the outcome, there should be a detailed discussion of the potential neuroscience-related mechanisms to explain the observed results. Mechanistic studies, measuring structural and functional-related mechanisms, are also welcomed.
