Manuscript Topics
Food safety is a major public health issue worldwide. The predominant food safety issues are foodborne diseases caused by a variety of microorganisms, including viruses, pathogenic bacteria and mycotoxin producing fungi. Foodborne diseases cause significant human suffering, impede socioeconomic development by straining health care systems and harming national economies, tourism and trade.
This topic welcomes both research and review papers on topics related to foodborne pathogens and food safety. With this we invite manuscript submissions into the following topics:
• Microbiological food safety
• Infectious pathogens that affect food safety and public health
• Contamination of food by fungi and mycotoxins prevalence and control measures of foodborne pathogens
• Antimicrobial compounds on microbial food safety
