Manuscript Topics
The processing of materials using Laser technology has grown substantially in recent years. In fact, additive manufacturing, welding, cutting, and marking are just some of the many production technologies that use Laser technology to process materials and even obtain final products. The growth felt in application, and also in the volume and variety of research works published, demonstrates the market's strong interest in processing materials through this technology. Therefore, the aim is to take advantage of the high number of research works that are ongoing, to capture and bring together a significant number of articles that describe the most recent developments in this area, covering all facets that employ this type of technology. Additive manufacturing will certainly be one of the focuses of this Special Issue, but it does not intend to be restricted to this processing technology. It is intended that the articles are as comprehensive as possible, highlighting new achievements in this topic and contributing to the increase of knowledge in this scientific area.
This Special Issue aims to bring together the most recent advances associated with the development and processing of materials using Laser technologies in different areas of interest for the scientific community. We encourage the submissions of original research articles, perspectives, opinion articles, and reviews that focus on, but are not limited to, the latest developments and achievements in Laser Materials and Processing Technologies, as well as their practical applications in engineering.
