Manuscript Topics
The Geomorphological Mapping is the discipline that reproduces the Earth’s landforms in a digital 2/3D format. Since the landforms are the result of many Earth internal and external processes that interact and influence each other, an accurate geomorphological mapping becomes essential to better understand some of these processes allowing also to predict or model potential natural hazards. According to the process or phenomena to be investigated or modelled, it is fundamental to reproduce the morphologies following rigorous criteria that assure a coherent representation scale of the process or phenomena itself. The scope of this special issue is to collect the most interesting scientific researches that, based on advanced techniques and methodologies for mapping geomorphological data, provide a significant or innovative contribution in several Geosciences disciplines.
