Manuscript Topics

We invite top Researchers and Authors to submit original research or comprehensive review articles for consideration for publication in a Special Issue of AIMS Bioengineering entitled "Biotechnology – current achievements and future challenges" in AIMS Bioengineering. These articles will be published in AIMS Bioengineering open access after peer-review process before their acceptance for publication. Submitted papers should not be previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts, that cover the potential topics of the Special Issue listed below, however, the research areas of the Special Issue are not restricted to, the following:

• • Fabrication and characterization of materials and nanomaterials for biotechnology applications

• • Obtaining of novel catalysts/biocatalysts for biotechnology

• • Production and application of enzymes and immobilized enzymes for biotechnology

• • Designing and characterization of biotechnology processes in laboratory and large scale

• • Reactors and bioreactors for biotechnology – design and application  

• • Biotechnology for medicine and related applications

• • Improvement of classic processes by the use of biotechnology

Paper submission
 All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before their acceptance for publication.
 The deadline for manuscript submission is December 31, 2022.
