Manuscript Topics

We invite top researchers and authors to submit original research or comprehensive review articles for consideration for publication in a Special Issue " Biopolymeric-based devices for the controlled release of biomolecules" in AIMS Bioengineering. These articles will be published in AIMS Bioengineering open access. Submitted papers should not be previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before their acceptance for publication.
Potential topics to be covered by the Special Issue include, but are not restricted to, the following:

• Controlled drug release for pharmaceutical applications  
• Controlled biomolecules release for tissue engineering applications  
• Controlled release devices for food packaging applications  
• Advanced processing for biomolecules incorporation in biopolymers  
• Kinetic modeling of release from controlled delivery systems  
• Processing-structure-function relationships in biomolecules loaded biopolymers
