Manuscript Topics
Smart computing is a synergistic combination of multidisciplinary domains, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber-Physical Systems, Edge computing, Big Data analytics, Machine Learning, Cognitive Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. The applications of smart computing are expected to bring advances in transportation, energy, environmental protection, smart communities, healthcare, entertainment, and social media, and to improve our ways of living. With the rise in interest in smart computing, each specific technology requires adequate security and privacy protection based on the sensitivity of the processed and carried information. Industry and academia have thus focused on the innovations dealing with security and privacy challenges in smart computing.
The objective of the special issue is to compile recent research efforts dedicated to the study of security and privacy in smart computing. The special issue solicits high quality and unpublished work on recent advances in methodologies empowering security and privacy solutions for smart computing, and theories and technologies proposed to defend smart computing-oriented applications against adversarial or malicious attacks. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Security and privacy in pervasive/ubiquitous computing
• Security and privacy in cloud computing
• Security and privacy in internet of things
• Security and privacy in big data
• Security and privacy in social computing
• Security and privacy in cognitive computing
• Secure and privacy-aware applications for smart buildings, smart cities, smart grids, and smart living
• New types of attacks against applications of smart computing and it’s countermeasures
