Manuscript Topics

Over the past few decades, research in mathematical biology has attracted increasing attention and gained growing momentum. Mathematical modeling plays an important role in understanding the underlying mechanisms for biological phenomena. The study of these model problems promotes the development of various techniques in mathematical analysis. Furthermore, numerical computation may extend beyond the ability of analytic tools in tackling complex systems and can help identify model parameters with experimental and clinical data.

In this special issue, we will publish original research articles addressing modeling, analysis, and computation in mathematical biology. The topics of interest include but are not limited to, population dynamics and (ordinary, partial, delay, or stochastic) differential equations in ecology, epidemiology and cell biology. We welcome interdisciplinary contributions bridging mathematics and biology. Submitted papers under the criteria of biological application and mathematical significance will receive prompt attention, timely feedback, and careful consideration.
