Manuscript Topics
The description and analysis of dynamical systems have recently acquired a great boom, giving rise to multiple studies associated with a wide variety of fields of application in branches of the physical, biological and social sciences, as well as in various areas of agriculture, business, education, engineering, medicine and public health. The importance of this type of analysis lies in the need to explain the evolution of many dynamic phenomena as precisely as possible. In all cases the key objective is to explain the behavior of the evolution of the phenomenon, making it possible to provide predictions about future behavior and thus to have the possibility of externally controlling the evolution of the phenomenon under consideration.
The aim of this special issue is to provide advances in stochastic modeling of dynamical systems, both from the theoretical and applied point of view. Innovative contributions from a methodological point of view, as well as applications to real-world situations (such as those mentioned above) are welcome.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Modeling by stochastic processes
• Dynamic prediction
• Dynamical systems estimation
• Functional data models
• Computational methods for dynamical models
• Applications in survival theory, medicine, biosciences, risk theory, insurance, finance and other application areas.
