Topical Section: Mathematical modeling
A mathematical model is an abstract representation in mathematical language to describe the behavior of real devices and objects (or a system). It can help us to explain and predict the behavior of complex systems, and provide a better strategy to control the development of certain phenomenon. Mathematical models are used particularly in the natural sciences and engineering, but also in the social sciences. Mathematical modeling is indispensable in many applications. It has become widespread especially due to the increasing computation power of digital computer andcomputing methods.
