Manuscript Topics
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness caused by a novel coronavirus (nCoV) that was identified on 7 January 2020 which is responsible for the first cases of Wuhan pneumonia in China, in a live animal and seafood market. This virus was currently named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) by the Coronavirus Study Group of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses. The COVID-19 outbreak made assessment as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 March 2020. The disease quickly spreads and attack several countries and regions causing a lot of deaths and economic damage worldwide. Therefore, the main objective of this special issue is to develop mathematical models in order to better understand the dynamics of this disease, predict the epidemics trend of the disease and establish control strategies to limit its spread.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
• Mathematical modeling and analysis of the COVID-19 by different approaches
• Prediction of the epidemic peak of COVID-19
• Numerical simulations and control strategies of COVID-19
• Estimation and sensitivity analysis
• Any experimental study of biological systems describing the dynamics of COVID-19
