The Hanoi School of Public Health, Hanoi, Vietnam (www.hsph.edu.vn), in collaboration with the AIMS Public Health (http://www.aimspress.com/journal/aimsph), is pleased to launch the call for papers for a journal special issue “Scientific evidence for better health and health care in Vietnam”


The objectives of the supplement are: 1) To improve research capacity and international research collaborations of Vietnamese scientists and their partners; and 2) To provide scientific evidence for health planning, management and policy making process toward better health and health care in Vietnam.

• Patterns of health status in transitional Vietnam
• Burden of non-communicable diseases and their risk factors in Vietnam
• Climate change and health in Vietnam
• Emerging and remerging infectious diseases in Vietnam

Please submit the abstract of your paper (not more than 200 words), including tentative title, author(s), objectives, methods, results and conclusion by Feb 28, 2016 to Mr. Tran Tuan Anh (tta@hsph.edu.vn) and copy to Assoc. Professor Hoang Van Minh (hvm@hsph.edu.vn)

• Registration (submission of abstracts): June 15 2016
• Notifications to authors on the results of abstract review: March 15, 2016
• Submission of manuscripts to  AIMS Public Health: no later than May 15, 2016
• Peer-review completed for all submissions: Aug 30, 2016
• Production stage: 30 Sep, 2016
• Launching: Oct, 2016
