Manuscript Topics
This special issue will focus on epidemics, infectious diseases, ecology, and evolution in contemporary world. We intend to collect papers that will address trending topics in emerging diseases while taking environmental, geoclimatic, and demographic factors into account, using traditional methods in ecology, statistics, mathematics, and computing with medical data.
This issue covers, but is not limited to, the following topics:
• Age stratification modeling of infectious diseases
• Medical informatics in contemporary world
• Scenarios based modeling of epidemics
• Sociodemographic determinants of emerging diseases
• Trends in ecology and evolution
• Parameter estimation methods for disease ecology
• Spatio-temporal modeling of disease dynamics
• Biodiversity, ecology and evolution
• Complex population dynamics
• Eco-evolutionary modeling, species interactions, and intraspecific diversity.
Key words: Epidemics, ecology, emerging diseases, population dynamics, medical data, epi-modeling, bioinformatics, biomodel
