Manuscript Topics
The heterogeneous geographical environment such as destructive earthquake, emergency rescue and natural disaster, has many uncontrollable factors to make that the hostile environment greatly affects the rescue efficiency and result. Therefore, it is an urgent problem to carry out personnel search and rescue quickly and effectively so as to save more lives under hostile environment.
In fact, the generated image influenced by the hostile environment including earthquake ruins, confined annular gap, poisonous gas, radial object, etc. is extremely complex, which makes it considerably difficult to recognize the geographic location. However, with the ongoing upgrades of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the AI-based image processing ability become more and more strong. In other words, AI could leverage the advantages of positive learning, scalability and high-efficiency to improve the recognition efficiency and accuracy while guaranteeing the small recognition time as soon as possible. Therefore, this special issue focuses on AI-based image processing for geographic location recognition under hostile environment.
This special issue aims to publish original research and review articles in the field of AI-based image processing and its applications. Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
• Geographic Location Analysis and Recognition
• AI-based Hostile Environment Monitoring
• AI-based Image Processing
• AI-based Geosystems
• AI-based GPS Improvement for Hostile Environment
• New AI Algorithms for Image Processing
