Manuscript Topics

In recent years, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become very important tools that have wide applications in various fields, including aerial imagery, fire and smoke detection, urban management, agriculture & high-tech farming, real estate & construction industry, and military and defense.

Artificial intelligence (AI) combines a wide range of technologies to give the system the ability to make decisions in unfamiliar conditions. So, AI has excellent potential for enhancing UAVs’ abilities and capabilities. The major purpose of this issue is to explore novel methods of artificial intelligence/machine learning in conjunction with Evolutionary Programming so as to be utilized efficiently in UAVs.

Any contribution that provides an added value to the application of artificial intelligence for UAVs is of interest to this special issue. The topics of interest include – but not limited to– the following:

• Applications of AI methods on the concepts of flight for UAVs
• AI-based navigation of UAVs
• AI-based analyzing and visualizing UAV-collected data
• AI-based UAV networks
