Humans and ecosystems are exposed to an unidentified number of chemicals, some of them can be potentially harmful. However, the effect of the presence of toxicants in the environment and their interaction with environment remains still unknown in most of the cases. Evaluation of the ecotoxic effect of the pollutants is crucial for better protection of the environment against hazardous chemicals.
