Manuscript Topics

We invite top researchers and authors to submit original research or comprehensive review articles for consideration for publication in a Special Issue "Metabolic Engineering in Yeast: Tools, Strategies and Applications" in AIMS Bioengineering. These articles will be published in AIMS Bioengineering open access. Submitted papers should not be previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before their acceptance for publication.

Potential topics to be covered by the Special Issue include, but are not restricted to, the following:

• New methodologies and genetic tools of metabolic engineering in yeast, from expression vector design to genome editing
• Rewiring metabolism for biofuel production
• Yeast as a cell system for sustainable food products
• Yeast as a host cell system for biomedically relevant products
• Optimization and streamlining of production processes in yeast
